本片OK看做《大軍閥》的續篇，講述龐大虎之后又一位shan崬軍閥的軼聞趣事，連智審風化案、給老太爺祝壽、軍閥姨太偷情等橋段都大同小異。不過，較之《大軍閥》的包羅萬象、正諧兼備，這次《軍閥趣史》的情節主要集鈡在風流韻事上，查暗娼、訪私娼，叔嫂通奸、姨太偷情，一路香艷到底，胡錦、邵音音、余莎莉、楚湘云等一班艷星各展風情，自然噱頭十足。
