老兵新傳

 解放戰爭未期，北大荒某地。已轉業的老戰（崔嵬 飾）響應國家號召，來到黑龍江開荒建農場，和他一起來的還有過去的通信員小冬子（孫永平 飾）和周清和（顧也魯 飾）。小冬子熱情活潑，周清和則對荒無人煙的北大荒心存畏懼。老戰在一個廢棄的碉堡中建立籌備處，他對北大荒的未來充滿信心。不斷涌來的墾荒大軍和農業機械讓老戰滿心歡喜，在和副場長趙松筠（韓濤 飾）進行一番爭論后，堅持播下一萬畝冬小麥，以期來年夏收。一天，殘存的國民黨匪兵偷襲了附近村莊，老戰聞訊，組織農場人員前去剿匪，幫百姓奪回了被搶走的糧食，百姓們深受感動。當夏收時，收割機不夠用，當地百姓自發幫農場割麥子，“虎口”奪糧的壯舉深深感動了農場職工，而老戰也面臨接受新的任務......
