　　在某臨近海濱的醫(yī)院內，住著一個無依無靠的中年男子金珉昊（千浩振 飾）。由于左半邊身體失去知覺，加上腦神經受損，因此他無時無刻不想了結這苦難的人生。這一日，醫(yī)院送來了另一位沒有任何親眷的病號，他的名字叫做樸尚樺（劉海鎮(zhèn) 飾），因腦部受損而失去了記憶，與金安排在同一個加護病房。樸的到來，激起金珉昊心中無限的波瀾。這兩個男人似乎曾有著無限的仇恨與瓜葛，致令金想盡各種辦法要置其于死地，而漸漸恢復記憶的樸也將同樣的仇恨傾瀉于金珉昊。　　與此同時，神秘的白醫(yī)生一反常態(tài)對兩個男人進行特殊關護，并且用匪夷所思的治療方法幫助他們恢復健康。這一切的背后，似乎隱藏著更大的謎團……

All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
