一群朋友計劃離開城市去海邊度過一個輕松的周末，但事情發生了變化，一個年輕女子在一個偏僻島嶼的岸邊向他們揮手求助。伸手救援便是致命的危險，他們不顧一切要逃離小島。

1940年，抗日戰爭進入了第三個同時也是極為艱苦的念頭。中國共產黨所率領的八路軍和新四軍依照毛澤東同志制定的方針與日本侵略者展開殊死的斗爭，與之形成鮮明對比的是，國民黨方面則試圖趁亂限制中共的發展，從而阻礙了抗戰勝利的前進步伐。新四軍挺進縱隊攻占蘇北據點橋頭鎮，再往前即可踏上東進抗日的道路。而在這片國民黨實際掌控的地區，許多頑固派建議趁機向新四軍發動進攻。挺進縱隊司令員孟器宇（張鐘英 飾）與國民黨代表談判，并成功策反蘇魯皖部第一縱隊司令周明哲（文卜東 飾）。家國大義當前，中華兒女做出最為正確的選擇……
好像一切都很糟糕
Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
